Step 1 to enroll in the Self-Determination Program is to attend a full orientation—either through your regional center or the State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD). You must complete the entire session to get a certificate.

Attend the State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) orientation. These are live meetings through Zoom. They will provide a certificate of completion that all regional centers will accept.

After completing orientation…
You will receive a certificate of completion once you have attended the entire orientation. Send a copy to your service coordinator. You do not need to attend multiple times if you are a parent of multiple regional center consumers.
