Service Code Description: #
Psychology Services are defined in Title 22, California Code of Regulations, Section 51099 as the services of a person trained in the assessment, treatment, prevention, and amelioration of emotional and mental health disorders. All medically necessary psychology services for children under age 21 are covered in the state plan pursuant to the EPSDT benefit. Psychology services in this waiver are only provided to individuals age 21 and over and only when the limits of psychology services furnished under the approved state plan are exhausted. The approved state plan limits this service to the amount that is medically necessary.
