Service Code Definition: #
A regional center shall classify a vendor as a tutor if the vendor possesses the training, education, and/or skill necessary to provide
the in-home individualized instruction to the individual which is supplementary to, or independent of, instruction provided by the classroom teacher. Service providers must have a bachelor’s degree in education, or a related field, or a combination of a 2-year degree and 2 years of full time professional-level work experience in providing Tutor Services.
