Transportation Broker (883) #
Service Code Definition: #
A regional center shall classify a vendor as a transportation broker if the vendor:
(A) Is not the transportation service provider; and
(B) Develops routing and time schedules for the transport of consumers to and from their day program;
(C) In addition to performing the duties specified in (A) and (B) above, a transportation broker may:
1. Conduct monitoring and quality assurance activities; and/or
2. Perform safety reviews; and/or
3. Assist the regional center in implementing contracted transportation services. Transportation brokers shall meet the requirements and duties in Title 17 of the CCR section 54342(a)(83) as well as the new components included on the Rate Reform-006 directive.
