Service Code Definition: #
A regional center shall classify a vendor as a Communication Aide vendor if they provide those human and sales information and training in adaptive computer technology services necessary to facilitate and assist persons with hearing, speech, or vision impairment to be able to effectively communicate with service providers, family, friends, co-workers, and the general public. The following are allowable communication aides, as specified in the consumer’s IPP: 1. Facilitators; 2. Interpreters and interpreter services; Communication aide services include evaluation for communication aides and training in use of communication aides, as specified in the consumer’s IPP.
